About NGS...

NGS American, Inc. is a Third Party Administrator providing claims administration for self-funded employer health plans. Our company was founded in 1979 and grew to be one of the nation's largest third party administrators through our strong commitment to customer servicing, our ability to provide customized solutions and through the formation of strong partnerships with our customers. In 2006, NGS American was acquired by CoreSource, a subsidiary of Trustmark Insurance. CoreSource is one of the nation's leading third party administrators with a vision to provide a national TPA organization which retains local, personable presence. Thus, NGS operates as a distinct unit of CoreSource, retaining both our name and management structure. Where it makes sense, we do share resources to the benefit of our customers.

The principles that formed the basis of our culture and organization at inception still actively guide us today. Although a proliferation of TPAs entered the market in the 70's, the vision of NGS was never to be a low overhead claims shop, but rather an organization that retained the sophistication and quality expertise of the traditional carrier while providing self-funded employers with innovative flexibility and technological tools to control their own health care program. NGS provides medical, dental, and disability benefit administration as well as COBRA administration, eligibility management services and flexible benefit spending account administration.

As a specialist in the administration of self-funded group health plans for companies whose business needs require significant flexibility, NGS has a diverse client base including employers in manufacturing, retail, private and public sectors, partnerships, governmental entities and hospital systems. NGS American currently administers more than 950 group medical plans covering over 312,000 employees and dependents located in all 50 states. This includes a variety of plan designs, including PPO, EPO and consumer driven programs.
