  HR Website Enhancements
Three new features are being rolled out to all NGS customers with access to the NGS HR website:
  • The Secure Electronic Communication (SEC) form
  • Electronic, printable enrollment confirmations, and
  • A web based Communication Center.

The SEC form
To facilitate timely enrollment changes in a secure environment, NGS has introduced the Secure Electronic Communication form. As enrollment changes contain protected health information (PHI), we will be requiring the use of the SEC form whenever you need to communicate an enrollment change that cannot be transmitted through EDI. To support you in this transition, we have enhanced the accessibility of this form by adding an "SEC" form link to the main HR website screen.

Along with securely sending PHI, the SEC form allows you to submit questions to NGS and receive responses from NGS while tracking all activity.

Benefits of using the SEC form include:
  • You can track all requests to NGS! By logging into the HR website, you can see a detailed list of all the changes you have requested and when they were completed. You can also review notes entered by NGS on each change.
  • The SEC form is fast and prompts for all information needed to make a change! The SEC form requires minimal data entry to request a change, however, the predetermined fields help ensure that all appropriate detail is provided to NGS to help us resolve the needed change on the first pass.
  • The SEC form is secure! Participant data is transmitted securely through our web server using secure socket layer (SSL) encryption, an industry accepted HIPAA standard.

Beginning June 1, 2007, enrollment changes that you once submitted through email must be submitted via the secure SEC form!

Electronic Enrollment Confirmations
NGS has made the confirming enrollment form available for you to view and print from the HR website. If you need an enrollment form for an employee to mark changes on, you can print the form by selecting the participant and clicking on the "Family Information" link on the participant's member information screen. You can still request a mass run of enrollment forms from NGS for special circumstances such as open enrollment.

Communication Center You can access the web-based Communication Center via the "Communication Center" link on the HR home page. The Communication Center also uses SSL encryption as described above. You can use the Communication Center to initiate questions to NGS, receive responses and questions from NGS, and respond to questions from NGS. New questions, from NGS, will automatically display to you upon logging into the HR website.
