Last October 25th NGS' clients received a mailing from NGS describing the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 and the attempts that States must make to recover funds that were improperly paid by Medicaid.
At that time you instructed NGS to release eligibility, coverage and payment information on your behalf only for those states that had passed a statutory requirement mandating that your health plan provide needed data. South Dakota and Florida were the original states that passed this type of legislation.
Currently, ten additional states have passed legislation, which would require supplying information. Pursuant to your previous election, NGS will provide the required data to all 12 of these states. Should any additional states pass similar legislation, NGS would notify you and, unless you object, provide the mandated data.
If you would like to have NGS automatically send the data to all the mandated states that pass legislation in the future, without notifying you, please contact us.
